How to make an i-river mp3 player less cumbersome
October 31, 2006 8:00 AM
Is there an armband or similar useful accessory for an i-River HP-140?
I've seen on i-river's site that they don't recommend using the armband for the h series with the larger 20/40 gig players due to weight but has anyone used this successfully? If not any other suggestions to make my player less cumbersome (especially in the gym)?

Apple makes armbands for iPods (the big ones with a HD). I've worked out with a RCA Lyra for years and never had a problem. It's a risk, but these things were designed to be jostled around.
The upper arm doesn't go through a huge range of motion, and there's a little meat (flab) under the player for cushioning.
I wear pants with a belt and just slip it in my hip pocket though.

As a 120 owner, I had a reaction similar to meehawl's (partly because our players are getting harder to replace by the day).
But misticriver, if you don't already know about it, would be a great place to debate this question (in fact, it probably has already been debated there). (It seems to be down as I type this, but I'm hoping that's temporary; it's been going strong for years.)
