Recommendations on where to buy a safety razor in Boston or San Diego?
I have looked through as many previous posts as I could find (i.e., everything tagged with "shaving"), but didn't see any specific recommendations on where I could find old-school safety razors in person (I would like to see what I buy before I drop the money on it, so I am not interested in buying on-line). I live in San Diego, but I am in Boston this week for work and was thinking about checking out the Art of Shaving store over in Copley Place. Any other recommendations in Boston or Cambridge? Any for San Diego? I am staying in Cambridge near Kendall Square, so I have easy access to the red and green T lines. Thanks!

I second the recommendation for Leavitt & Pierce. If they don't have them, LaFlamme barbers may. They're practically around the corner, on Dunster.

I did some reading on this over the weekend and aside from specialty shops and mailorder, places you can look include the chains "Crabtree & Evelyn" and "L'Occitaine."
