Please help me identify the location and significance of this (possible) War Memorial structure.
Oh, which led me to the coolest war memorial ever. Wow.

Response by poster: Yes, zoinks! That looks to be it. It was suggested that it could be in Flanders, so the fact that it is in Belgium is a good secondary confirmation. Thanks!

Response by poster: The picture is printed on a sheet of plastic in a lightbox attached to a wall. The incandescent bulbs in it must have been too hot at one point, causing the discoloration. I just took some snapshots of the lightbox, so I don't think there's much I can do to restore it (besides replacing it altogether).

I was there a couple of years ago with a couple of 101st Vets who had been through the battle. the things they described were chilling - some of that is quite literal, as a major memory of theirs was the extreme cold. The Center For Military History has a peerless account of the battle. If you've got the time, have a look.
