When to ask a question here

What is the best time and day to post a question on Ask Metafilter that will get the most people looking and commenting on it? Why?
I know this is a sort of Meta question but I wasn't sure that people who could best answer the question even visit Metatalk. I rarely do. May I be struck down by a bolt of lightning if I'm breaking some unwritten Metafilter policy here.

You know, 3:59 is nearly 8 AM for some places in the world.
And to answer the question: it depends on whether or not you mind the angry rantings of late-night Americans.
