When to ask a question here

What is the best time and day to post a question on Ask Metafilter that will get the most people looking and commenting on it? Why?

I know this is a sort of Meta question but I wasn't sure that people who could best answer the question even visit Metatalk. I rarely do. May I be struck down by a bolt of lightning if I'm breaking some unwritten Metafilter policy here.

This post was deleted for the following reason: PUT THIS WHERE IT BELONGS ALREADY

It's actually written pretty clearly on the "Post new question" page itself:

"Is your question regarding MetaFilter, MetaTalk, or Ask MetaFilter? Post it to MetaTalk, which is designed for questions about the site itself."

This post will be deleted. It belongs on metatalk. And it has already been asked and answered there.

You know, 3:59 is nearly 8 AM for some places in the world.

And to answer the question: it depends on whether or not you mind the angry rantings of late-night Americans.
