a crude & easy way to keep the embedded video files in the flash that those websites that don't want us to be able to keep their content use; even the ones the special plugins and websites and whatnot don't seem to be able to keep.
1. firefox.
2. determine the location of firefox's cache on your system (about:cache is quick).
3. open explorer window to that cache dir.
4. clear cache in firefox (tools -> options -> privacy -> cache)
5. browse to the video clip you'd like to keep, let clip spool.
6. look in the explorer window. rename the largest file you see in there yourfilename.flv, then move it to the directory you'd like to keep it in.
once you've gotten started, you don't need to clear the cache very often. it'll become readily apparent which new cache files are the video content.
