Advice on a garbage man Trump Halloween costume.

Where in New York City can I get a high visibility safety vest like Trump wore here. What shade of bronzer do you think this is? What iconic Trump lines should I use for my garbage man Trump Halloween costume?

Amazon carries all sorts of safety vests. You could go with a more official source like Grainger or McMaster but this should suffice for your costume.

The exact shade of bronzer seems to be a little harder to pin down but Vox recently tried.

You would want a bronzer that gives your skin the same contrast as Trump's, so it may not be the same shade as his.

But I'd also add that people may read heavily contrasting bronzer applied the way Trump did up his face in the garbage man photo as blackface, and either skipping bronzer or choosing an unnatural color like zombie green may be a safer bet.

Not specific to NYC, but when I needed to get a hi-viz safety vest, I found that all my local hardware stores had them. You may get a better/different selection in stores that specialize in workwear but I seem to recall that the version from the photo was fairly standard and could be found pretty much in every hardware store.

Anyplace that specializes in outdoor worker clothing has them, for example here is one in midtown... The ones out in Queens where I live probably have them for well under $20.

For bronzer, use as orange a color as you can find. That should keep you away from any black face vibe. Maybe even a fluorescent orange, the color of traffic cones!
And a ridiculously long red tie.

This is just to say that especially if you are a white boy, depending on the details of your costume many people might find it difficult to tell the difference between a trump costume that's utterly contemptuous of the man, a trump costume that's some sort of ironic, and an actual magahat.

edit: so if you mean it with contempt, really heap it on so it becomes very very very very obvious

and make sure the makeup doesn't get anywhere close to your eyes, and looks like it's worn off where you're foaming at the mouth. what about some white makeup on your hands as extra contrast?
