What’s nice in Colonia Santa Fe, CDMX?

I’m going to Mexico City for work. Because it’s for work, I’m staying in Santa Fe, which I understand is pretty far from places in CDMX that people like to visit and maybe not that interesting in itself.

I’m expecting to have a free day and/or half day, maybe a free evening. I speak Spanish quite well and am comfortable solo in Latin American cities, but am also a solo (middle aged) woman and want to be at ease. I’ve been to CDMX before, done some of the touristy things (anthro museum, zocalo, teotihuacan, Kahlo house). I’m interested in other art, food, cultural attractions (and language is not a barrier.)

Can you recommend specific places to eat, things to do, maybe interesting shopping in Colonia Santa Fe?

Can you recommend an interesting day or half day destination that is maybe less difficult to get to from this part of the city? I’m happy to wander around an interesting part of the city, but it would be nice to have one or two specific destinations in mind.

Parque La Mexicana could be nice for a stroll but otherwise Santa Fe is not exactly known for being a place with a lot of culture.

If you want to take a little trip, the new train from Santa Fe to Toluca (the capital of the State of Mexico, 40 minutes to the west) just started running. Otherwise, it's not a long Uber ride to Condesa, Bosque de Chapultepec or, a little more off the beaten path, San Angel — though the traffic can be bad.

Actually, the new cablebus (public transit gondola) from Santa Fe to Chapultepec just started operations, literally yesterday. From Santa Fe, you can get off at various stops along Bosque de Chapultapec and the final stop is within walking distance of Condesa. So assuming you are somewhere near the station in Santa Fe, that would be a good option to get somewhere more walkable and pleasant while getting to enjoy some views of the city from above along the way.
