ISO: 13G trash can under 20 inches high
August 20, 2024 10:02 AM

For ages, we've had a 13 gallon trash can under a table in our kitchen. It's a step to open can and the lid is starting to fail. The space under the table only measures 29 inches high and we are struggling to find a trash can with a lid that can work well under there. Can you help us find some options? We are in the United States, and it needs to be available here.

10 gallons might be a better option. I have 34 inches, and 13 is too high with an open lid.

You could look for one with wing lids which don’t require as much clearance. (Not sure if the dimensions of that specific one would work, just an example of the style.)

@staggernation, we are looking at those wing lids as well, but a partly open wing lid is way worse than a partly open single lidded step can. That one wouldn't open fully.

We had a similar situation and got a swing top trash can. The stainless finish one we got isn’t available on Amazon anymore but there are lots like this Rubbermaid one.
