Ai: stripped & naked
July 31, 2024 8:24 PM

I've had some success creating and selling art created using midjourney. One of my clients is requesting something a bit more graphic – think Mapplethorpe. MJ does not permit nude-ness. Do you know of any ai image generators that can create high quality photo realistic images that allow it all to hang out (tastefully, of course)?

Unstable Diffusion and there is a Discord which has info on running it locally and some alternatives.

I've been testing a lot of models for this capability (I test lots of capabilities in general) as part of my job. One of the few I've found that will output any kind of nudity is Kandinsky 2.2. The results aren't on par with Midjourney, DALL-E 3 or other image generators, but it's the best I've found that handles anything even remotely risque.

Kandinsky 3.0 came out a bit later, but I haven't had such good luck with that. Image quality seems worse than 2.2.

Flux is a new model that was just released, people seem excited about it -- you'll have to try it to see if it handles your particular use case though.

I've heard (well, ok, seen) that Mage is pretty ok with graphic imagery.
