Help me use up Korean green tea powder before it expires?

I have a can of Korean green tea powder that will expire next month. Help me finish it before it expires!

I have a can of Korean green tea powder (garu nokcha) that's about to expire next month. It's something like a Korean version of matcha but the cultivation method is different.

I can only drink so many cups of green tea a day. I don't bake and I'm on a low-calorie, low-carb weight-loss diet so anything dessert-related is out.

Suggestions for non-fattening uses welcome, including non-food uses. I'm thinking of using it as a facial mask. Thank you!

Don't worry about "expiration" date. Those are more of a "best by" date. You can keep drinking that, for a few more months as long as it's kept dry and cool and all that.

I would try stirring it into diet-compatible yogurt, if such a thing exists for you, to see if the resulting green tea flavored yogurt is as tasty as a matcha latte or panna cotta.

Agree with kschang, the date is a best by date. You can freeze or refrigerate the powder if your house is particularly humid or hot.

My suggestion, if it is compatible with your current meal plans, is green tea smoothies.

Ah and this is more off beat and I don't know how many carbs are in buckwheat noodles, but perhaps as a kind of noodle salad dressing?

If salmon is a part of your diet, it goes well with green tea. For instance, this matcha-gochujang rub, this salmon matchazuke or this matcha salmon poke bowl.

Thank you kschang and spamandkimchi. I have put the can immediately into the fridge after opening and hope for the best.

ManyLeggedCreature: Thank you for the recipes. I don't have salmon fillets but will try them with canned salmon.

Just for fun, I checked a couple websites. Powdered tea (technically matcha) can be used for everything EXCEPT... milk. Frozen yogourt is fine, as are milk alternatives. And apparently they make interesting addition to popsicles and sauces. Some suggest adding it to facial masks, foot rubs, foot soaks, and so on.

kschang: I'll try putting a little in my next foot soak! It seems extravagant though.
