Where there's a will...

Have you ever been the executor for a will that covered assets in several different countries as provided for by the Uniform International Wills Act ? I would like to hear from you.
You are not my lawyer. However, if you read the question on the front page and you're here, you probably don't need me to explain the Uniform International Wills Act to you.
What I want to avoid is some lawyer charging me for bells and whistles on a document that aren't essential to the execution of the will.
In brief, my situation is that I have financial assets in jurisdictions that are signatories to the Uniform International Wills Act. But I don't reside in any of those jurisdictions.
My questions for you as executor:

In brief, my situation is that I have financial assets in jurisdictions that are signatories to the Uniform International Wills Act. But I don't reside in any of those jurisdictions.
My questions for you as executor:
- Where were the assets located?
- What types of assets were they?
- Did the deceased live in any of the countries where the assets were located?
- Did you run into any problems with organizations not honoring the will, or a state authority refusing to approve it for probate? Let's say one of the countries required apostille of the will, for example, and that hadn't been done.
Folks can feel free to DM me.

Update: I drafted an Islamic will, had a California attorney who specializes in international wills review it. Then I had a solicitor in the UK execute it and be "authorized person." All done, thank God.
