Civ VI Anthology DLC Question

Quick, silly, easy question: I'm interested in the new Civs offered by Anthology, but am NOT interested in playing with RF or GS rules. So, can I play the new Civs with vanilla rules/setup if I get Anthology?

Best answer: There are probably mods that get around this, but the answer is… some of them.

Anthology includes Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm, but also a whole mess of additional DLC.

If you start a game with Standard Rules, you can play with most of the content in the standalone add-on DLC, although there's a few leaders that require a specific major expansion - for example, Sundiata Keita from the Leader Pass requires Gathering Storm, since that's when Mali was added.

Leaders/civs specific to RF and GS do not appear in the Civ selector unless you choose the appropriate game mode. It's cumulative, so RF content appears in GS.
