ULTRA LAST MINUTE GIFT - food magazines

What is the best magazine available for a subscription for a skilled serious home cook who really likes classic French cooking? Also likes international vegetarian ideas.

I'm thinking of Bon Appetit but I am not a foodie and don't know if that's actually as good as its fame makes me think it is. I don't think they love Cook's Illustrated for some reason and they definitely would not like, for example, the Food Network magazine.
Would be OK if the magazine were in French, but must be available to U.S. either print or digital ok

I think Saveur would probably fit the bill. They have gorgeous pics, great articles, and an international focus.

Came in to say Saveur, I think it fits the bill perfectly.

If you would prefer a French-language magazine, Artisans looks like a good one. Regal and Cuisine et Vins de France are also options.

(Full disclosure, I have read none of these.)

It’s not vegetarian, but Whetstone is my go-to around international food these days.
