Scanner app recommendation for iOS?

Can you please recommend a scanner app? My parents frequently need to send documents and I know they need not be running to FedEx/Kinkos when they both have iPhones.

Best answer: Apple's own Notes app does a good job with document scanning, but I also like SwiftScan.

Best answer: The built-in Notes app does a pretty good job of scanning - How to scan documents on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. You can then save it as a PDF afterwards from the share options.

The iPhone's scanner can be accessed through the Files app too:
files > (upper right corner's three dots in the circle) > scan documents

I use the Files app. (It probably works similarly to Notes).

Click the "..." in the top-right corner, then select "Scan Documents". Super easy! It can handle multi-page documents too.

If you even need more replies, I use the Genius Scan app all the time. It works fine. Not sure how its features stack up against the others cited above.

Response by poster: Thanks everyone. For future reference, we were able to scan the document directly from the email program on Dad's iPad (if only he remembers how...)

Another option is to just take a picture of the document. That has worked surprisingly well for me over the years.

Scannable has served me well in the past. It can combine pages into a single pdf.
But just a simple photo does the trick well.

In the mail app on the iPad, you can scan a document directly as an attachment by tapping in the body of a new email, touching the icon with a camera and an ellipsis that appears above the keyboard on the left, and choosing scan document from the menu that pops up. In case you do need to do it again :)
