How do use a hot key in ditto to scroll through paste options?

How do I tab through paste options in ditto using keyboard shortcuts? I am able to do this with jumpcut on my mac, but I cannot figure out how to do it for ditto on Windows.

This is the feature that I'm talking about it jumpcut: "Or, set a global hotkey (from the Preferences menu) and begin using Jumpcut via keyboard. (The default value for this hotkey is Control + Option + V.) Typing it will bring up a pop-up bezel, similiar to the application switcher. Hold the modifier keys (Command and Option by default) and use the arrow keys or the non-modifier key (V, by default) to scroll through the stack. "

I cannot figure out what are the settings I need to set up in Ditto to accomplish the same result (e.g. I want to launch the paste function and then be able to use V to scroll back through copied content until I find what I want.

If you used Windows 10, I believe using Clipboard History will help you, no extra software needed. Here is an article about it, and here's an article from Microsoft support

This doesn't seem to say anything about using hotkeys to scroll through the copy history, which is the feature that I am interested in.

I'm confused. I use Ditto on Windows and when I hit the key combo to pop up the Quick Paste selection menu (Should be Ctrl+` by default but I changed that to a different key combo in the options), I can just use the Up and Down arrow keys to select the entry, then press Enter to paste it. Of note, with Ditto you do not need to hold down the key combo that launches Quick Paste while making your selection, it stays up until you either press Enter to paste or Esc to cancel. You can also change the Ditto options by clicking the "..." menu in the Quick Paste popup, or by right-clicking the Ditto icon in the right corner of the taskbar (it may be hidden under the ^ menu).

What specifically are you having an issue with?

When I hit Ctrl+`nothing happens, which I guess is why I'm having trouble with this. I'm going to try to uninstall and reinstall it.

I uninstalled and reinstalled it. Ditto seems to be running, as it is saving what I copy, but when I press either of the commands (Ctrl+`or Ctrl Shift V) nothing happens. Any idea how to fix that?

Try going into the Options and re-set the keyboard shortcut? Or pick a different one? Ctrl+` is a key combo that a lot of utilities like to use as it's the same as the old Quake console keyboard shortcut, so another utility might be trying to use the same one. Or try exiting and relaunching? At this point it looks like it should be working, there wasn't anything special I had to do to make it work once it's running.

Or pick a different one?

I changed the shortcut and now it's working. Thanks for the tip.
