Mac OS 12.5 scrolling bug in photos

Any idea on how to fix this display bug in the Photos app on Mac OS 12.5?
After opening the Photos application and scrolling through the library, the machine freezes for a few seconds and then starts flicking with a magenta/pinkish color, while no longer scrolling.
The computer itself is new, one of the models released in the last year and the OS is up to date. The library around 32K images.
Best answer: Does that happen on the internal display too, or just on that external display? Seems more like a driver or GPU issue than an application bug to me, or maybe even something with the cable or display. Not that it helps you any, but I have extremely close to 32K images in Photos, and have never seen this on my 2021 MacBook Pro (M1 Pro) so I don't think it's a universal problem.

Best answer: Yeah that pink color makes me think it is a cable issue. It looks like it is an external (non-Mac) monitor? Do you have another monitor or another cable?

Response by poster: Yes, it IS an external monitor issue. If I just have the Photos app only open on the laptop monitor and scroll, there is no flickering on problem.
The external monitor of is old VGA one, hooked to the laptop by an adapter.
Thanks y'all, that flickering was driving me mad!
