Have you been beaten with a pussy willow?

Dyngus Day is today. It was mentioned in the blue last year, but I was curious where else it's going on and who celebrates it. Chime in with your tales or just your location.

Response by poster: It's a big deal in Buffalo, NY, my home town. It's always covered by the local TV news, and all the florists stock pussy willows to use as switches.

As a kid I associated it with Spring: it was finally warm enough to run around the yard and beat on each other.

How does one pronounce dyngus? I hope it's ding-gus.

Smigus Dyngus is celebrated all over Poland... which is what the blue said, but I'm confirming it.
