What do middle school and high school band directors read?

What are the magazines or other periodicals that middle school and high school band directors read?

Best answer: The Instrumentalist is the big one for band folks, but I can't think of too many others (I am an orchestra teacher but I converted from band).

Best answer: This is a little off to one side rather than right down the middle, but when I was involved in our state music teacher association I know we had a few middle/high school band and orchestra teachers who were members, and all members automatically receive the American Music Teacher magazine.

The magazine is not really aimed at band/orchestra teachers per se - but those teachers often have a few private students and such, and they would most often join the association in order to enter those students in the music competitions the association organized. We had reasonable sized wind, string, vocal, etc categories for middle & high school ages in those competitions - so some one must have been teaching them.
