Where to swimsuit?

Where do I buy a swimsuit in 2022? I'm looking for something that's a little fun and maybe trendy, but also don't want to wade through eighty-billion pages of options with poor sorting functionality (e.g. zaful).

The last time I bought a swimsuit was 2010 and the last time I bought clothes of any sort was 2019 (and that was via stich fix). Previously I shopped at Gap, Banana Republic, J. Crew, and Nordstrom Rack, although my style is less preppy than that makes it sound. Where do people buy swimsuits online these days?

Criteria:
* must be online with a good return policy
* must have boy short or similar bottoms available (no bikini bottoms)
* would be nice to have something fun or maybe trendy.
* I like bright colors and patterns - this doesn't need to be grown up or anything
* Suit will actually be worn into the water/ocean (but also I'm perfectly comfortable with the possibility of slippage, but ideally the quality/fit would be high enough that it wouldn't be constant).
* I'm a size 4 or 6 mid-30s ciswomen, so no sizing limitations

Best answer: I like the bottoms at Title Nine which has a few different types of shorts, and the bra-sized tops are very comfortable & swimmable for me.

I'm a big fan of Land's End swimsuits. The quality is great and they're currently having a sale.

I generally can find something for my sizing-limited self at either Land’s End or Swimsuits For All. The latter has many options for different levels of coverage and modesty including a bunch of mix and match shorts and tops.

If I were your size I would probably end up with a Target swimsuit. Right now they have a huge range that just came out in a bunch of colors and patterns. Their return policy is robust and easy peasy.

I like Shein. They do run small.

Best answer: I love Title Nine. I wear a bikini top and board shorts and am super happy with this combo - Title Nine generally sell tops that stay put and a variety of bottoms that cover my bottom.

Best answer: Summersalt, Prana, or Land's End. Land's End is the most traditional but also has the greatest variety. Summersalt and Prana are more trendy athleisure (but still good quality for swimming).

You might like Sunsets. I have two of their suits and they are so nice. The fabric and quality is topnotch. I also love their tops that have built-in bras.

Jantzen is high-quality and has lots of options for various bottoms. And easy returns.

Beware that Boden charges a restocking fee for returns. So check that out thoroughly if you go with them. They do have some cute suits!

Response by poster: Prana, Title Nine and Athleta ended up having the best (only) boyshort options (which I guess must be off-trend or something). I ended up buying from Prana, and while I've only tried it on so far, it seems to be high-quality and minimal slippage potential (probably because they have separate sizing for D-cup and above, which I didn't realize was a thing for non-underwire suits but which is great, so yay!). Thanks for all the suggestions!
