TV show documenting construction of London home on tiny lot

Looking for a specific episode of the TV series about people building their dream homes. This episode was a London couple with a young child who lived in a small London apartment. They bought a piece of land in central London that other people deemed impossible to build on. It was only accessible by a small alley and surrounded on all sides by other houses. It was a grueling building process but the house in the end was amazing with all kinds of new and cool technology.
I watched a TV series (maybe on Netflix) that documented the design and construction of homes by the owners. These were all passion projects by the owners and they discussed budgets, design, dreams etc. Then you followed the nitty gritty of the permitting, construction etc. until the build was completed.
One of the episodes was a couple with a young child that lived in a small apartment in London. The husband/dad in this case had dreamed of building his own home for YEARS and had done a ton of research on every aspect. They bought this piece of property in central London that had been deemed useless by everyone else because of limited access and being surrounded on all sides by other houses.
The story was really amazing because the end product was absolutely fantastic...they had a lap pool in the basement of the house beautifully lit with this reflecting lights that bounced light down 3 floors. Anyway, I can't figure out what show or episode it was but I want to rewatch it. Anyone have any ideas?

This was definitely an episode of Grand Designs, I remember it. The lot was a wierd wedge shape and they built on and under all of it.

Definitely an episode of Grand Designs. Maybe the Slot House?

Pieces sound like a couple episodes— surrounded and building on a tiny lot sounds like East London, and the basement pool and young kid sounds like the graveyard house.

Yup, Grand Designs. the East London episode. The house was in Canary Warf - here's an article on it.

Best answer: I think it's the "Miniature Hollywood Mansion" episode of Grand Designs.

Response by poster: That's it! It's S13 Ep2 of Grand Design - Miniature Hollywood Mansion! The whole process was so stressful but the final product is amazing. The persistence of that family to get it done just astounds me!

Just went down that rabbit hole. Amazingly, that couple is still married.
