Do you remember a science fiction short story where people can send images of themselves back to their high school selves? I read it about twenty years ago or so.

The story is from the perspective of a 18 year old woman who’s about to graduate from high school. Everyone is waiting for their future selves to appear to them. The woman has to wait a long time before seeing her future self, who’s holding a card which says something like: “It was never boring.”

Best answer: Sounds like "The Nostalginauts" by S.N. Dyer. You can find it in the Year's Best SF 3 anthology, but there's an audio drama in that link too!
