Best Cake for Delivery in Toronto?
January 18, 2022 7:47 AM
Very straightforward question here. I want to send someone in Toronto a delicious cake today. (I am in the US.) They live in the Harbourfront, if that matters.
Hit me with your cake concepts. Thanks!
I was going to recommend Dufflet, Bobbette and Belle, or Nadege, but now I want a Cake Loft cake, those look gorgeous.

Same day cake delivery in Toronto can be really hard. You may want to go with Instacart and a grocery store.

Dufflet’s is reliable and uses only good / real ingredients. I agree that (given the recent blizzard) your best bet is to look for a supermarket that carries their cakes (Loblaws is a good bet) and do Instacart.

Agree that "same day cake delivery" is going to be a grocery store/supermarket thing; how fancy were you hoping to go? (My admittedly non-Toronto experience of trying to get a fancy bakery cake delivered, even a small one, was a minimum lead time of 48-72 hours.)

Thanks for the dose of reality. I was unaware of the current Snowmageddon, actually. Definitely will be recalibrating my expectations about same-day delivery. Great choices here though!

You can use Uber Eats to deliver cake same-day quite easily in Toronto! Someone sent me one on my birthday and I was so delighted that sending them a cake is now my go-to bday present for pals during the pandemic.
