Identify this Movie from the Valley of the Shadow of Death

Hi AskMe, I come to you with a movie identification question, which is not really my usual thing, but here we are. I was watching a movie with my Dad a decade or so back. I think it was probably a classic alien invasion/pod people sort of plot. I remember a scene in a church, in which the priest recited the referenced part of Psalm 23, possibly the entire thing.

I don't remember any other context from the movie, except to suspect that the recitation was probably to ward off something unpleasant, as it usually seems to be. I just remember the voice of the priest making a strong impression on me, and have had no luck at all Googling this, considering how common that particular psalm is. Does anyone have any idea what movie I might be remembering?

I'm not sure of the movie, but you could try entering some phrases into a movie quote database (e.g., He restoreth my soul) and see if anything rings a bell.

Best answer: War of the Worlds (1953)

The priest recites the Psalm here. Later, a scene in the church, when the Martians attack.

I agree with Rash. Definitely the 1953 (and best) version of War of the Worlds.
