I need to learn more about what Shazad Latif is doing with his voice (Star Trek Discovery, spoilers for season 1)
Since I'm late to the game on this show and missed a lot of the early converage of it, I'm wondering if 4 years ago there were any articles or interview or pop linguistics think pieces about how Shazad Latif creates such different voices for Voq and Ash (AND I'm also so deeply impressed by the voice of the Fire Wolf, which is completely different from Voq's voice, and nor is it just halfway between Voq and Ash). I honestly find it so cool, and I'm a Speech Language Pathologist so I know enough about voice to be able to learn about this, but not enough to figure out exactly what's going on.
