Cheapish MS Teams-Compatible Tablet Recs

Our child is doing online classes via Microsoft Teams. We do not have a laptop or webcam so we use an iPhone, which is not great. We were thinking about getting a webcam but now we're thinking it may be a better value to get a tablet in the upcoming Amazon Prime sale. However, Fire tablets apparently don't do Teams. What other <$100 CDN Teams-friendly brands or models should we keep an eye out for, either available from Amazon Canada or another Canadian retailer?

Clicking around it appears you can get Teams onto the Fire, but I don't want to if it is onerous or invalidates my warranty or can cause system instability, immanentizes the eschaton, etc.

We are not in love with Amazon; if another retailer has product available at similar prices, we'd happily buy from them instead.

Use would be for Teams, streaming Netflix, watching shows, reading books (Hoopla) and comics, maybe some educational apps, web-based PBS Kids games. Would be nice to be able to easily transfer media files to it.

Any recs for solid Apple/Android Grade One+ educational apps, including French, are welcome.

Best answer: I have teams running on my Fire tablet without any issues. While your worry is valid (you basically need to cut some corners to get the google play store onto your fire tablet) anecdote of one, it was very easy, no problems/issues whatsoever. For the warranty you could just flash back to original if that were an issue.

Best answer: Teams has a web-based version of the app at portal.office.com which I would assume would be usable on a Fire. I do not have one to test with, though.

Response by poster: Yeesh, a day after I ordered a Fire tablet I realized we could use Teams on the iPhone like we've been doing but can also log in on the PC so she can actually see the teacher on the monitor.

Well, the thing is ordered, we'll see if we'll keep it.

Response by poster: Getting the Google Play store on it was a snap (Used the How To Geek Tutorial) and it's working pretty well, thanks!
