September 15, 2020 6:38 AM

I would like to go somewhere for a long weekend that fits these criteria: 1) No more than a 4 hour drive from Philadelphia 2) Cabin or house in the woods where I can't see another house 3) Allows a dog 4) Has a fireplace or wood stove 5) No TV/internet/cell service desirable, but not required 6) $150 per night or less Having trouble! Thanks in advance.

You might look into the PATC cabins. I have stayed at a number of them and have never been disappointed.

NJ Pine Barrens. State parks for rental cabins.

It’s a 3.5 hour drive from Philly to Great Cacapon, West Virginia. I stayed at a very cute cabin in this area recently (had WiFi, screened porch, wood burning stove). There’s tons of gorgeous trails and not very many people.

For a 2.5 hour drive maybe Catoctin Mountain or Michaux State Forest in Maryland?
