ISO specific kind of area rug cleaning -- Bay Area
January 17, 2020 5:59 PM
I have an aging cat who has has peed on an area carpet several times. The situation is beyond a typical steam cleaner service (trust me on this). I would like to send the carpet "out" to get it professionally cleaned. I then plan to store the carpet for the foreseeable future or to use it at a different site (e.g. in my office). I think this type of service is usually used for fancy carpets but I don't mind the price to save chucking the carpet into landfill. Recommendations / referrals much appreciated. I am in San Francisco.
(I did this very successfully a few years ago (same cat, different area rug), but I cannot track down the person who provided the service. It was three years ago, I found them via a "rug specialist" at Macy's, I wrote a check to "Floor Art," and the charge was about $350. My person at Macy's is no longer there, and Floor Art leads to nothing on point.)

Bailey in San Mateo will do it if you don't find somewhere suitable closer.
