How can I bookmark my videos in OSX?

Is there a media player available for OSX that would allow me to bookmark my place in a video before closing it?

I've set up my home theater to have make-shift media center capabilties (in other words, I've hooked the computer up to the projector). Movies or long television programs don't always get watched all the way through in one sitting, so I'd like to be able to save my position in the video so I don't have to fast-forward-guess when I open it again.

There seems to be quite a few solutions for Windows, but I can't find anything for OSX.

Movie Time should do it.

I hadn't used it in a while, but I just double-checked and it should do what you're looking for.

The quirk is that you have to launch the player, and then it brings up the last-opened movie at the same place it left off.

If you click on the movie file itself and open it that way, it seems to want to start from the beginning.

The Apple DVD player permits the auto restore of a DVD playback wherever it stopped.
