Summer camp for grownups

Have you ever attended one of those places that advertises itself as a "summer camp for adults"? Please tell me everything!
Which one? What part of the country? How long was it? Did you like it? Would you go back again? Would you recommend it to others? What kinds of activities did you do? Did you go with friends or alone? What was the approximate age range of attendees? What was the living situation like? ... and anything else you might think someone curious about attending such a camp would want to know. Thanks!

A friend of a friend wrote about her experience at one such camp here.

My group of work friends go every year to the Rochester NY YWCA Womens Adventure weekend. Its four days long, you choose from a variety of activities that are all going on, like kayaking, beading, archery, rope course, watching a movie, mountain biking, campfire singing.... we sleep on bunks in log cabins and eat meals in the chow house. Basic food but they try to accommodate dietary issues. Plus everyone brings some extra snacks and beverages for the cabin. It ranges from 25 to 65 year old women and we have a blast. Its remote enough that there's no cell reception. You can opt out of all activities if you want and just sit on the porch and read.

I've never been to one of the adult summer camps, but I did spend a couple of days at the Chautauqua Institution last year (my boyfriend won the trip from a radio contest, which is apparently still a thing that can happen). I'd never heard of the place before going, but when people asked about my trip later, I defaulted to calling it adult summer camp because I couldn't think of another way to describe it. It was like if the summer resort from Dirty Dancing also hosted Ted Talks and most of the guests were retired humanities or religion professors and their families. There were some neat things to do, but the crowd definitely skewed older, and some things were like...unnecessarily expensive?
This is probably not what you were asking about, but since it looks like you're already in New York, I thought I'd mention it.

She did arts and crafts and dancing and some obstacle course kind of stuff I think, and there were people from 20s to 60s and I believe they had bunks like in a regular camp (as it was hosted at an actual camp). She said it was a very open fun bunch of people, and everyone was wearing costumes and stuff and no one was allowed to use their real names or and it was by requirement tech-free and you weren't allowed to talk about your job or anything. My sister isn't a hugely outgoing person naturally, but she said it was fun and easy to make friends.
I mean, from what she told me, it basically sounds like Burning Man without the drugs or the nakedness and with functional toilets and showers. So like G-rated Burning Man?
