Watching BBC2's The City and the City in the US?
September 12, 2018 6:25 PM
Is there any way for me to watch the BBC miniseries of China Mieville's The City and the City here in the US? It looks like it's not streaming in the UK any more, so a proxy service wouldn't help. It doesn't appear to be on Amazon, Hulu, or iTunes.
Have you checked on Google Play? It looks like it's available on the Australian version, but i am not sure whether it is available in your region.

The usual not-exactly-legal methods are widely available by a group called MTB.

Unfortunately, it doesn't show up on the US version of Google Play, and I can't stream it from amazon.co.uk here.
kuanes is right about the usual methods, though.

If all streaming options fail, there is a DVD release in the UK, so you could order that. It’s Region 2 so you’d probably need a multi-region DVD player to watch it.

update: 1) the audio on that YouTube rip is a bit mangled, 2) my facility with British accents is either worse than usual or these are stronger than usual, and 3) it is available on BritBox now, thankfully with very good closed captions.
