Looking for time period of Stone Indian tool found

In the spring I turned over in the garden what appears to be a Native American stone side scraper. If I supply photos can anyone give me an approximate time period for it? I live in Southern Ontario.

There are lots of lithic identification websites for projectile points. Here is one for southern Ontario, for example. If it's a simple biface, however, it might be harder to identify which culture it belongs to, unless it's some sort of unusual raw material or has distinctive features. Can't hurt to post the photos, though. If you get stuck, try contacting the Ontario Archaeological Society - they would have more detailed knowledge available.
