"Dec Wars" Star Trek Game on Old Dec 10 Computers

Back in the early 80s, I played "Dec Wars" on a Dec 10 computer, making best possible use of my university's multimillion dollar investment. It was a multiplayer Star Trek game via command line. I was curious to get some background on it, but it doesn't Google. Did I dream it?

Beaten to it. :) DecWar is probably what you were thinking of.

Response by poster: Man, I'm surprised Google was so badly thrown by the space. Thanks, all. Great game...I need to find out if it's being emulated anywhere....

Response by poster: Hoo hoo!

"A clone of Decwar called decwars.com was written in golang by Harris Newman and runs in the cloud. Commands were modeled on the original game with minor variations, except the game supports unlimited players."

This is awesome, mostly because I'm surprised to discover it's totally accessible with my screen reader. I wasn't expecting it to be Telnet-based, but it is, and that's a rarity nowadays.

Sadly, all usernames are un-registerable, reporting as "taken"
