Quality kids (superhero, comic book, animal) sheets for king size bed
March 18, 2018 9:08 AM
I have a king-sized bed and I can't get quality sheets with animals, comics or superheros on them (e.g. Pottery Barn Kids sharks, Star Wars, Superheros, etc.). The only fun sheets available in king are made out of polyester or similarly flimsy. Any suggestions on where to find quality fun sheets?
Aaah! You just made my day Ideefixe, I thought I'd carefully combed through everything on PB's website and nothing was made in King (princesses? No. Sharks? No. Monster trucks? No. tiny cars? No. etc...).

Another option would be to buy fabric and have sheets made. It is pretty easy and you could employ a local sewer to do it.

In case you find a design you absolutely must have that isn’t available in king: a standard king size bed is equal to two twin beds pushed together, so you could sew together two twin sheets. You’d need to figure out how to handle the elastic edges in fitted sheets — my first guess would be to just remove the elastic from the corners that get sewn together, but I’ve never done it, so it might be more complicated. But it would be easy to test with some thrifted plain sheets first, so as not to mess up the cool ones.
(In case you’re worried about feeling the seam when you sleep, I have frequently patched holes in my sheets, and I can’t feel the seams on those patches.)

Vermont Country Store has some fun Peanuts sheets in percale and in flannel. I think I saw some cute sock monkeys in the flannel choices.

Just saw that PBTeen also has two varieties of Harry Potter sheets too! (One, two)

This is true - but the length is not the same. I'd have to get twin XL sheets, none of which (seemingly) come in cute prints at least from a quick scan of PB

The Company Store has some cute animal patterns for king size. Colorful bicycles, doggy faces, seagulls in adorable knitwear, ornate camels, dogs and cats, patterned pelicans.
