I've got the buttons!

What garment should I make with these buttons?

For the first time ever, I bought the buttons before planning the pattern around them. I adore these little sweeties. There are only five of them, boo.

I can knit, crochet, and sew any fabric. I'm good, but not great, at deviating from existing patterns. I've kind of done the Irish cable sweater thing already, though I'll consider a really amazing pattern. Advice on what color to use is helpful too. Who would have thought one could fall in love with buttons? Thank you!

I would use them for a side-buttoning A-line skirt, if you like skirts, in a denim or a grey or a solid jeweltone. Or put one at each sleeve and two at the collar of a sweater, and make a brooch out of the fifth.

What first popped into my head was a jacket in a rich blue or teal with a diagonal placket similar to this (in terms of diagonal, not color or necessarily other aspects of style).

I think they could be fun with a classic blazer but I'm not finding the google images to go with what's in my head.

I can see why you love them! How about a lovely waistcoat? To me they look brass-tone, and I think they would look great on burgundy or dark green. Or charcoal grey.

I had a flash of a retro-80’s jacket that was a refresh of Janet Jackson’s Control album cover, and then I saw bunderful’s link & will second that.

Wrist warmers or fingerless gloves, in peacock blue, with two buttons on each cuff.

Ooh ooh I like that Vogue coat! What color and texture would work?

Seconding a cape or capelet, you have just enough to do a little closure at the top. And you could do it in lace or cables or garter or whatever you like, with or without a collar or a hood.
