Settings, apps, and rules for safely sharing iPad with kids

Just bought an iPad. I will use it for work, but I will also share it with my 5 year old. He uses his parents' iPhones regularly for games. (He used to watch a lot of youTube, but we ended that.) What settings, apps, and rules do you use to keep your kids and your iPads safe?

Guided access works on my iPhone. I assume it’s on the iPad as well. In the accessibility settings, if you turn on guided access, you can restrict the hold to a certain app. You can restrict volume controls, I believe the camera, as well as set a timer. It’s essential.

We set up parental restrictions so that the kids couldn't install or delete apps or make any in-app purchases.
