My Facebook events aren't updating on my iPhone calendar.

I'm part of many Facebook groups, and have lots of events to keep track of. If I edit an event on Facebook it updates on my MacBook's Calendar, but not my iPhone's. How do I fix this?

Here's what happens:
1. I make an event on FB.
2. The event shows up on both my phone and my MacBook, on Apple's Calendar applications.
3. I edit the event days or weeks later, on Facebook.
4. The updated information shows up on my MacBook; the information remains unchanged on my phone.

I have the latest updates for both of them. This might have started when I got a new (to me) MacBook and updated it to High Sierra, or that might be a coincidence. I've tried unchecking and rechecking the Facebooks events calendar on the phone.

Possibly the problem is only with events that I make and then change; other people's events don't have this problem, I think. (Other people don't edit their events as often as I do; this is not going to change, because of the kind of events I'm setting up.)

I tried asking on Facebook's support page and it was, of course, useless.

What are the settings on your calendar? I was having a problem with iCal not updating / deleting evenst, and I found it was because my iCal was only set to update weekly. Now I update manually when I go into the app by clicking on "Calendars" and then pulling down to refresh, but you could have it auto-update more frequently.

Refreshing doesn’t fix it.

Have you tried Settings > Calendars > Sync > select All Events?

Yup, that's what it's on. I tried putting it to a different setting and then putting it back; no joy.
