How to connect to a server on an iOS device.

At work, I have a network server that I can connect to from my Mac by going to Finder>Go>Connect to Server> and then clicking on the name of the server (i.e. smb://name02). Is there a way I can do this same thing on an iPad and/or iPhone?

Thanks, as always, for your help.

Best answer: In short, no: iOS doesn't have native CIFS/SMB support, because it doesn't really do filesystems and file access that way. However, there are third-party remote file access apps (one example) that build in the necessary libraries to allow those kinds of connections.
