Cheapest way to send books from USA to Europe?
May 23, 2017 8:25 AM
I want to send about 10 lbs of books from the USA to Europe, but USPS no longer offers surface mail options, and neither do the courier companies. Are there any cheap options for this sort of package now?
(I have searched for answers online but most discussions are from when surface mail was still an option.)

You could search at Parcel Monkey. Looks like about $45 is the lowest rate available for a 10 pound package, U.S. to Germany. That seems a lot cheaper than UPS, Fedex, etc.

USPS looks like maybe $60+.
Depending on how valuable the books are you might just look at Abe Books and find the books that you want already in the right country.
