Term for the mental image you form about radio personalities?

Is there a term for the phenomenon of imagining what a person looks like based on their voice?

I'm thinking, for instance, of the way we often visualize the appearance of a radio personality based on their voice (and how off the mark it often it is). A term from psychology, perhaps? Thanks!

A phrase that comes to mind from fiction is head canon—the way that, as you read a book or hear a story, you begin to visualize the characters' and scenes' attributes in a way that becomes canonical to your understanding of the work. This seems like it might be a related word, though, and not quite what you're looking for in this question.
