What is involved in the Postal Exam/assessment for employment? Apparently there are two parts, on-line and in person. What might one expect and how would they prepare for these exams?

Granted it was a long time ago (PCs hadn't been invented yet!) when I took the exam and did well enough to then be employed by the USPS, but as I recall when I applied I was given some materials with sample questions/problems of the types that would be on the exam. Have you looked on line to see whether such examples exist?

There are test prep books for this. You can get them at your library or for sure via Prime. The last time I checked, the exam had a lot of putting numbers and letters in order, finishing sequences, basic math and reading comprehension, but I haven't checked lately. The posting you applied via or the test announcement should include a brief summary of what to expect.

Response by poster: Yeah, the e-mail didn't really say anything about the test (contents or format), and I need to get it completed by Thursday at midnight, so probably no time to order something online. I guess I'll just start skimming and check the library catalog. And I have another project due Thursday at 7. Some weeks are like that.

Many library websites have an "ask a librarian" chat function that will help you find the right resource.
