Work near the beach in San Diego

Where can I get some work done near the beach in San Diego?

Currently near convention center. Is there somewhere I could find an open air cafe, restaurant, where I could work on a laptop with a view of beach and water? Within a 30 min public transport or Uber ride. Thanks San Diegoans!

Seaport Village, just walk west from the convention center.

If you're really adventurous, take the Coronado ferry over to Coronado and work from there. http://www.flagshipsd.com/cruises/coronado-ferry

Follow up I should have asked the first time - anything must-do Sunday morning before noon?

Brunch at the Hotel del Coronado. Unforgettable.

Newbreak in OB is the sweet spot of right on the beach but still a coffee shop designed for you to sit and work in, not eat lunch and look at the view. Also Bird Rock Coffee Roasters in La Jolla but that Uber's gonna cost ya.
