Nervous Nelly Seeks Advice for Surviving a Trump Presidency

I'm thinking about posing a multi-part series of questions focused on the specifics of surviving a Trump presidency.

I'm working through issues like how to protest, maintain my integrity, etc. But for now, I'm wondering about what areas you would be exploring if you were a worrywort, and were worried about even greater catastrophes than the ACA, SCOTUS, the environment, refugees, the educational system. I'm worried about money - what happens if the uncertainty becomes too much and/or the shit hits the fan and the market crashes? Or US financial systems get hacked? Is there anything I can do to protect against that? What happens if the electrical grid is hacked? What happens if we go to war with China or any other country? What happens if there's a Coup and the right wing militias descend on the rest of us - can I do anything to protect my family? What happens if the neo nazis gain total power and target vulnerable populations? What if the USG starts monitoring the communications of US citizens who aren't suspected of "regular" crimes? Is there anything I should be doing to protect my family's physical or financial safety while trying not to overreact before it is necessary? For now the question isn't how to answer specific preparedness questions, it's rather what questions should I be asking myself? What categories of preparations should I be thinking about undertaking? I'm thinking about money, health, physical security, communications and privacy security, access to water sources and food, escape routes, visas, passports, etc. I'm not sure I'm ready to take comcrete steps, but I want to be thinking through whether to take any precautions. I am not prone to conspiracy theories and doomsday fears but I. AM. SCARED.

This post was deleted for the following reason: Sorry, this is a dozen questions many of which are unanswerable, I'm afraid. You're very much not alone in these worries though -- for example, see a bunch of previous questions under the tags trump, politics, etc. -- LobsterMitten
