Instant Pot DUO Parts Warning

Lost part, not in stock, no communication from InstantPot company.
I lost the steam valve release that goes on the top of the Instant Pot DUO without which the pot cannot be used. I placed a quick replacement order at Instant Pot realizing when I received it that it was for the LUX models and does not fit my DUO. Now my Instant Pot, less than 6 months old, is useless. The part is still out of stock and the company will not reply to my inquiries, I've sent three.
So, since the company will not reply to me, I am planning to dispute the charge and send back the LUX part. I do not encourage disputed charges as a means of negotiation but they won't even reply to me.
It seems unlikely that the part will never be in stock again but I have no idea how long to wait and in the meantime want to use the Instant Pot.
If I could return the whole pot for refund (amazon), I would because I think it is way out of line to not have replacement parts available for an easily lost part on a current model. It is like buying a 2016 car and then they won't replace a gas tank top leaving the car useless and on top of it won't reply to inquiries.
If the issue is ongoing and other parts will not be available for a model that is still for sale, I should maybe buy a LUX model that is newer (though the my "extra" parts from the original would remain useless). Or, maybe I should pay more and go with the other highly recommended model, Breville Fast Slow, yet 2 - 2.5 times more expensive. I was happy with the IP; I am very suspect now of the company. I don't even need all the fancy features - the simple manual high or low pressure was all I used.
Please let me know your suggestions or experiences or any knowledge of the reputation of InstantPot. And in the meantime, beware of any interactions with the company.
