RIP, Dr. Heimlich...but something is bugging me
December 17, 2016 4:05 PM
We all know that the great Dr. Henry Heimlich, inventor of the Heimlich Maneuver, passed away today at the age of 96. I'd like to phrase this as respectfully as possible, but I could've sworn that I heard of his passing (or at least having some kind of health problem) about 1-2 weeks ago. But it seems like he passed away suddenly from a heart attack in his home. I know that this sounds like some outlandish "Mandela Effect", but what other news could I be confusing this with? (No, not John Glenn's passing.)
bbc report (may 27).
(surprisingly long ago, but i had the same deja vu on reading your question)

That's it! Someone mentioned Dr. Heimlich using his maneuver on an elderly woman to me a week or two ago, even though it actually happened this past May. For some reason, I confused it for the other way around (someone else using it on Dr. Heimlich)!
