Pre-election Lawsuit Status

Somewhere, deep in the morass that is the election threads, someone mentioned a ruling, law or regulation that would basically put Trump's many lawsuits on hold until after his term is served. I can't for the life of me find the reference.

I'm not conversant enough in American law to be able to find it myself, despite my best efforts. Anyone know what I'm talking about here? Or did I imagine it?
