Royal Blue Dress Shirt
August 28, 2016 8:01 AM
I need some new dress shirts, and I love deep, dark jewel tones.
So far, I have found this Geoffrey Beene shirt (in graphite blue), which is very close to some that I had purchased a few years ago.
However, I want shirts that are a solid color. The shirts linked above are listed as "Bedford Cord" and if you zoom in, you can see the cords give them a faint striped pattern.
I like deep dark jewel tones (scarlet, royal blue, deep purple, emerald), so pastels and patterns are right out for me. I prefer point collars over spread ones, and I hate button down shirts. I need a classic fit, I have an 18" neck, and 34/35 sleeves.
Any reccommendations?

Back when I wore dress shirts on the regular, my favorite ones were from Express Men. Their 1MX shirt was available in a ton of bold colors in vibrant solids. I work at a startup now and wear tshirts mostly so it's been a while since I bought them there.

I bought some very nice shirts for my brother from the Gap two Christmas's ago. He also favors jewel tones, and he seemed to like them quite a lot (or at least he told me so). They have a good size selection, classic and slim fits.
