Where to find rabbit meat and quail in Boston?

We've decided to serve quail as a first course and rabbit as a subsequent course for lunch on the 25th. Now we have to buy the meat (killing our own isn't an option). Does anyone in the AskMe universe know of any buthers/supermarkets where I can buy either or both of these types of dead animal?

They're not 100% guaranteed to have anything at a specific time, but if you're looking for something unusual, you should always contact these high-quality butchers:

John Dewar
McKinnon's

and then there's always Savenor's and Super 88, but not usually worth it for the high price and low quality, respectively.

For all your Boston exoctic meat needs there is Savenors, 100 Cambridge Street, Boston, just a couple minute's walk from the Charles/MGH station. Their phone is 617-723-6328.

I'm pretty sure that the University Park Star/Shaw's has had rabbit recently, can't vouch for the quail.

Here are your local Whole Foods locations.

I can't be certain about Boston, but I find Rabbit and Quail at Whole Foods here in DC fairly often.

Mayflower Poultry (a.k.a. "Live Poultry/Fresh Killed") on Cambridge St. in East Cambridge has had rabbit and quail in the past.

A link for the above. I think it's the best place for really fresh poultry in Boston.

Stop & Shop regularly carries frozen rabbit and quite often fresh, at least at the ones I go to out here in MetroWest. I saw frozen quail and fresh guinea fowl at Whole Foods in Framingham last night.
