Best rig for high quality Periscope broadcasts?

My organization is doing more and more Periscope broadcasting as part of our outreach. We've found some budget to buy a specific setup with which to do this, rather than relying on staff member's personal devices. What's our best bet?
We're iOS people, so an iPhone 6S+, or possibly an iPad mini seems like a good path. But maybe there's an Android device SO GOOD that it would make the platform unfamiliarity worth our while. Price is not the primary factor but as always affordability is a plus.
We'll be getting a tripod/dolly of some sort for whatever we choose, and if you have recommendations for that so much the better.
