Musicians of NYC - lend me your open mic nights

Me and my roadie are coming to NYC this weekend and I want to play an open mic night while we're in town if possible. Where are the good uns?

Ideal scenario would be a friendly bar where they have instruments they don't mind you borrowing (my axe will sadly not be accompanying us on this trip) and where I can get away with hashing out a few originals and maybe a cover if that's the vibe.

Bonus points if it takes place on a Sunday or Monday night.

Best answer: The Monday open mic at the Sidewalk Cafe is legendary and still going.
