Rootology Replacement

Rootology works very well for my debilitating allergies. Unfortunately, it also gives me acne. Do you have any alternatives?

I live in Arizona and am generally congested, lethargic and sneezy for a good portion of the year. I ordered this product and despite my extreme skepticism, it worked. Unfortunately, it contains Vitamin D3, which gives me rash-like acne on my cheeks (this is not urban myth. My doctor had me try four different brands before we gave up).

Any of the allergy sufferers here have any suggestions for alternatives?

I would start by getting the ingrediant list and trying individual components to try to replicate the effect without the side effects. I took a quick look at the ingredient list and I have firsthand experience with two of the ingredients: licorice and cinnamon. I routinely use licorice to good effect for treating allergies. So I would start there and, if that is not enough, add other ingredients one at a time.

Best answer: This is basically a well-known herbal formula used in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It's called Bi Yan Pian and you can get it formulated with the herbs, but without the extra vitamins. Did you try formulations that didn't contain vitamin D?

Response by poster: I didn't have this product specially formulated, quince, and it's not available without the vitamins but I'll look for Bi Yan Pian. Bless you!
